LAS VEGAS, N.M. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 31, 2014) - CSU-Pueblo used a second-half surge to outlast New Mexico Highlands and claim its third straight win, emerging victorious 67-51.

CSU-Pueblo did take a 30-26 lead into halftime, rallying by posting a 9-2 run to close out the first frame, but the Cowgirls closed the gap at 35-35 four minutes into the second half.

But the ThunderWolves responded with a solid 15-1 run, going up 50-36 with 10:34 remaining, and keeping its double-digit lead and riding it out the rest of the way.

The ThunderWolves were led by Taylor Fox (Sr., Santa Cruz, Calif.) with 18 points, sinking four three-pointers.  Point guard Jenay Locke (Sr., Gilbert, Ariz.) added 15 points and Paige Ramm (Sr., Prescott, Ariz.) registered a career-high six assists.

The ThunderWolves will now travel to Western New Mexico and go for their fourth straight when they take on the Mustangs.
