PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 18, 2014) - CSU-Pueblo, which entered play Saturday in second-place in the RMAC, fell to a fiesty Colorado Mines squad Saturday in a 55-47 defensive affair.
CSU-Pueblo statistically had Mines beat, forcing more turnovers and out-shooting the Orediggers, but the difference was undoubtedly Mines' ability to shoot the three and get foul shots.
While CSU-Pueblo was just 1-for-9 from beyond the arc, the Orediggers were 8-for-16. The Pack going 8-for-16 from the charity stripe was also dangerous to the Pack's cause, while Mines went 11-for-12, separating itself from the ThunderWolves.
The ThunderWolves were led by Taylor Fox (Sr, Santa Cruz, Calif.) who had 14 points and four steals, and Katie Nehf (Jr., Broomfield, Colo.) who added 13.
The Pack will next take the court at home next weekend against Chadron State and Black Hills State.
