CANYON, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 29, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo was held without a field goal in the final four minutes of Friday's game with Angelo State as the Pack fell 52-49 in the opening game of the West Texas A&M Thanksgiving Classic.

CSU-Pueblo led or was tied for the first 19:34 of the second half, only surrendering the lead with 26 seconds remaining in the game as Angelo State's Kayla Turner hit a three-pointer to give the Rambelles the 52-49 lead.

The ThunderWolves scored their final points with 3:53 left in the game on a Paige Ramm (Sr., Prescott, Ariz.) layup, going 0-for-3 in the game's final four minutes while also giving up three turnovers down the stretch.

Angelo State, meanwhile, ended the game on a 10-2 run.

The Pack's ending was indicative of a hot-and-cold day throughout, which began with Angelo State surging to an 8-0 lead to start the contest. But the Pack responded with an 11-2 run, and the first half descended into each squad trading runs, scoring in bunches.

Toward the end of the half, after CSU-Pueblo saw its 23-18 disintegrate after the Rambelles went on a 7-0 run, CSU-Pueblo responded with an 8-0 run in the final 1:16 of the first half, keyed by five points from Meghan White (RFr., Georgetown, Texas), as the Pack took a 31-25 lead into the second half.

The Pack would lead by as much as nine in the second half, but the game remained a one-score affair for the final six minutes of the game, eventually leading to Angelo State's come-from-behind win.

The ThunderWolves were led on the scoreboard by Dee Arrieta (So., Pueblo West, Colo.), who scored 13 but was 3-for-12 on three-pointers.  Taylor Fox (Sr., Santa Cruz, Calif.) added 10 points and 11 rebounds to record her second double-double of the season.

CSU-Pueblo will take on tournament host and 21st-ranked West Texas A&M Saturday as they close up action at the West Texas A&M Thanksgiving Classic.
