Second half surge carries Pack

SPEARFISH, S.D. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 26, 2013) - Led by a resurgent 20-point game from Paige Ramm (Prescott, Ariz.), CSU-Pueblo recorded another win Saturday night, defeating Black Hills State 70-49.

Ramm recorded her first 20-plus point game of the season as CSU-Pueblo outscored the Yellow Jackets 36-18 in the second half.   It helped erase the Pack's performance in the first half, which left a lot to be desired after the ThunderWolves began the game trailing 9-3.  CSU-Pueblo would recapture the lead for the short time, only to lose it again and fall behind as much as five, 24-19.  But the Pack ended the half on a 15-7 surge, which it carried over to the second half.

CSU-Pueblo began the second half on a 23-8 run, turning a once-close game into a blowout.  In the end, the Yellow Jackets would only get as close as 13 points as the Pack cruised to victory.

In addition to Ramm's night, the ThunderWolves were led by 12-point games from backcourt mates Jenay Locke (Jr., Gilbert, Ariz) and Alex Evans (Jr., Louisville, Colo.).

CSU-Pueblo, still in a second place tie in the RMAC standings, will now return home where it will take on New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico.
