ThunderWolves need one more win than Colorado School of Mines to claim conference title.

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - April 21, 2012) - It's been 11 years since CSU-Pueblo has gone into the final day of its regular season with a chance for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title, and Sunday, the ThunderWolves will play for that elusive title after splitting a doubleheader with Western New Mexico Saturday.

CSU-Pueblo took out the Mustangs 2-0 before falling 8-2 in the late game, leaving it a half-game behind Colorado School of Mines in the RMAC standings with two games to play.  Saturday, Mines split a doubleheader with Colorado Mesa.

The ThunderWolves' win was fueled by a lights out pitching performance from Justine Bosio (Jr., Santa Barbara, Calif.), who held Western New Mexico to just three hits en route to her third shutout of the season.  She also drove in one of the Pack's two runs in the 2-0 win.

In the late game, early hits by Western New Mexico buried the ThunderWolves as it was able to go up 6-1 by the 4th inning.  Offensively, the Pack could only get seven hits, two coming from Bosio, one of which coming by way of a solo home run.

As the final day of the wild RMAC schedule unfolds, no less than seven teams are still alive for to win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title.  Of those teams, five have clinched playoff spots (including CSU-Pueblo).
