ALAMOSA, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Nov. 3, 2012) - The ThunderWolves captured one set Saturday at Adams State, but it wasn't enough as the nationally-ranked Grizzlies won in four.
Entering the match ranked 22nd in the nation, Adams State was able to win 25-14, 25-14, 21-25, 25-12.
The bright spot for the Pack was obviously in the third set, when, trailing two sets to none, CSU-Pueblo jumped out to a 5-0 lead and rode the momentum through the rest of the set.
Up 7-1, Adams State made a charge, cutting the lead to 7-6 before CSU-Pueblo opened up again and jumped out 10-7. From there, the ThunderWolves never trailed and earned the 25-21 win.
Unfortunately for the Pack, CSU-Pueblo could not duplicate those results in the rest of the sets Saturday.
CSU-Pueblo will close out its season next weekend at home when it hosts Fort Lewis and Colorado Mesa at Massari Arena Friday and Saturday.
