PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 19, 2012) - The final NCAA Division II football All-American teams were released Thursday, coming from D2Football.com and Don Hansen's Football Gazette, with a total of seven ThunderWolves being named All-American from the two teams, three of which earning their first All-American honors.

In addition to linebacker Lee Meisner (Sr., Sterling, Colo.), who was a first-team Don Hansen selection and a second-team D2Football.com selection, and Kyle Major (Sr., Littleton, Colo.), who received third-team Don Hansen honors and honorable mention D2Football.com honors as a kicker, Mark Sterling (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), Ryan Jensen (Jr., Fort Morgan, Colo.) and J.T. Haddan (Sr., Craig, Colo.) each earned All-American distinction for the first time.

Sterling, who assumed the Pack's starting cornerback position in 2011, earned first-team honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette while offensive linemen Jensen and Haddan earned second-team and third-team honors, respectively, from Don Hansen.

The All-American honors brings the Pack's 2011 All-American total to nine different players and 16 total selections across six All-American teams announced this year.  It is the most All-Americans for a CSU-Pueblo football team in one season throughout the life of the program.
