Pack finishes 6th in final regular season RMAC standings.
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 26, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo ended its regular season with a wild showdown with Colorado Christian Saturday, coming back from a 25-point deficit to battle for the win, losing 88-77.
The Pack made up a 25-point deficit to get as close as six midway through the second half, but a slow start in the first half that saw the ThunderWolves hit just 29 percent of its shots by halftime sank the Pack in a deep hole. Christian held a 51-30 lead by the break and never relinquished.
Two ThunderWovles did come through with big offensive games, as Kendall Babler (Jr., Rifle, Colo.) sank a career-high 25 points and Rachel Espinoza (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) added 21.
Now the Pack will await its RMAC quarterfinal opponent, either Adams State or Colorado Christian, which are currently tied for third in the RMAC standings. The RMAC has not yet released final standings with tiebreakers.
