Inaugural 'Pink Zone' night is Saturday

All fans wearing pink will receive $2 admission, first 200 fans receive Pink Zone pom-pom.


PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 14, 2011) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo basketball teams and State Farm Insurance have teamed up in an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer with the Inaugural "Pink Zone" Night scheduled to take place this Saturday, February 19 when the ThunderWolves host Chadron State College in a doubleheader with the women's game at 6 p.m. and the men following at 8 p.m.

Admission is $2 for those fans wearing pink and the first 200 fans in pink will also receive a FREE Pink Zone pom-pom courtesy of CSU-Pueblo Athletics.  Coaches, players and staff will be wearing pink in honor of this occasion and donations collected that evening will be donated to the Dorcy Cancer Center at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital in Pueblo.

The WBCA Pink Zone® initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
