ThunderWolves' defense can't keep up with Grizzlies.

ALAMOSA, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 2, 2010) - Needing a win badly to grab hold of the race for a playoff spot in the RMAC, CSU-Pueblo fell further behind Saturday, dropping a three-set match to Adams State.

CSU-Pueblo couldn't offer a consistent answer for Adams State's outside hitters, which seemed consistently find the floor against the Pack.  The biggest thorn in the ThunderWolves' side was Dominique Davis, who turned in 19 kills over the three-set match, leading all attackers. 

The ThunderWolves, however, weren't as consistent as they needed to be, hitting .150 as a team and committing 20 attack errors.

The Pack's best chance came in the second set, when they had set-point opportunities four different times but couldn't close the deal, losing 29-27 in the second set and effectively ending their bid to win the match.

Now at 5-9 and 1-6 in RMAC play, CSU-Pueblo will continue a road trip next weekend when they travel to New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico.
