The Thunderwolves tried hard to seek their first win over Metro State Roadrunners since 1999, but in the end they lost in three sets.

"Yesterday it was emotional high [in the Pack's near win vs. Regis], tonight it was a letdown," said Pack head coach Chris Jonson.

Both teams played at a very high-level during the first set. They showed good moves, especially very strong attacks that made it even harder for one of the team to take the leadership. After a score of 12-11 for the Roadrunners, they took their chance and got on a run to a score of 20-11. In the end the T-Wolves lost the first set 25-18.

In the second set the T-Wolves tried hard to stay in the game. Both teams showed a lot of effort and tried to, but the T-Wolves always stayed one step behind the Roadrunners. The Thunderwolves showed too many inaccuracies in their flow of the game. The Roadrunners took the leadership to 18-13, and finally won the second set 25-18.

The T-Wolves found back in the game in the third set, and stayed close with the Roadrunners. The set was tied 19-19, and the T-Wolves took it over and nearly pulled off the win. But Metro State was able to pull off the 26-24 win.

CSU-Pueblo will try to get a "W" Tuesday when it hosts Adams State at Massari Arena.
