Carlos Espinoza (Jr., Simi Valley, Calif.) scored the game winner Friday against No. 25 Westminster, to lift the ThunderWolves to the 1-0 upset win over the Griffins at Gonzales Stadium.
Espinioza and Co. went 1-1 in the two final home games of the regular season. Sunday, the Pack fell 3-2 against Dixie State.
For the weekend, Espinoza fired two shots and both landing on goal.
Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, the Pack still have their playoff hopes alive. CSU-Pueblo stands alone in seventh place and have 18 conference points. They trail sixth-place Dixie State who enters the week with 21 conference points. The top six finishers after Sunday's season finale will clinch a spot in the upcoming RMAC Tournament.
The Pack men's soccer team will wrap the regular season on the road this week at Adams State Friday at 3 p.m. and play the season finale Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Lewis.
