CSU Pueblo Softball freshman Emma Case (Loveland, Colo.) helped lead CSU Pueblo softball to a 2-2 series split last week against Colorado School of Mines. The ThunderWolves won one game each day and rallied from behind in both wins.
For the series, Case recorded a .429 average and collected six hits including a double, a home run and a run scored. She finished with a team-high five RBI and registered a .714 slugging and a .500 OBP along with 10 total bases.
In Friday's twin bill, the freshman went 3-for-7 with three RBI and in the last two games on Sunday, Case earned her first career game-winning hit after she batted in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning of a 9-8 ThunderWolves victory.
This season, Case is third on the team in average, doubles and RBI. She has 36 hits recorded and defensively has a .984 fielding percentage.
Up next, the ThunderWolves will go on the road this week and take on Adams State in a four-game series starting Saturday at ASU Softball Field in Alamosa, Colo. With three weeks left in the regular season, CSU Pueblo (16-27, 14-18 RMAC) currently sits in sixth place in the RMAC Standings and hold a two-game lead for the final spot in the upcoming RMAC Tournament.
