Mariangel Nunez (Fr., Weston, Fla.) went 3-0 in singles play during three home matches for CSU Pueblo.
Thursday against Nebraska-Kearney, Nunez beat her opponent 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 10-7 in the Pack's 6-1 loss. Saturday against Lubbock Chrsitian and Fort Hays State, Nunez picked up two more wins in singles play.
Against LCU, she bested her opponent 1-6, 1-2, unfinished and in the final singles match of the weekend, beat her opponent from FHSU in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0.
The tennis team next will turn their attention to the ITA South Central Regionals, set for Sept. 23-25 in Arlington, Tex.
