Ty Trahern

Former CSU-Pueblo all-conference guard Ty Trahern is enteringhis second season as an assistant coach at CSU-Pueblo.

A five-year member of the men's basketball team from 2007-12,Trahern matured from a redshirt playing under the shadow -literally and figuratively - of his 6-foot-10 brother, former Packcenter Jake Trahern, to ultimately take the team over both on thefloor and off, and by the time of his senior season, he wasaveraging over 12 points per game and earning All-Rocky MountainAthletic Conference honors.

His moment in the sun came in a double-overtime thriller duringhis senior season in 2012, when he sank a desperation three todefeat Adams State 99-98, later attaining additional fame andfanfare as the shot received airplay on ESPN.

Trahern, a native of Kit Carson, Colo., resides in Pueblo.
