Ryan Creager is entering his fourth season as a memberof the CSU-Pueblo coaching staff after a standout playing careerfor current CSU-Pueblo men's and women's soccer coaches Roy Stanleyand Paul Regrutto.
Creager, who played for the ThunderWolves from 2003-06, was oneof the most highly decorated soccer players in ThunderWolfhistory. He was a two-time NSCAA all-Midwest Regionfirst-team selection, a four-time all-Rocky Mountain AthleticConference selection, and was team captain for the squad for twoseasons. Creager is ranked in the top ten in points and goalsscored in CSU-Pueblo history, and helped lead the ThunderWolves tothree straight 10-win seasons from 2004-06, the longest streak inschool history. Creager excelled in the classroom as well, beingnamed 2 years to the all-RMAC academic 1st team and was a 4 yearmember of the CSU-Pueblo Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Creager went on to play semi-pro soccer for a few years beforesigning with the Denver Dynamite of the Professional Arena SoccerLeague in 2008. His performance with the Dynamite earned him a callup to the United States National Arena Soccer Team (USNAST) for atrip to Monterrey, Mexico. While in Mexico, Creager scored 4 goalsagainst Mexico, Peru, and Brazil while earning 4 caps for hisnational team. While playing against Peru on Nov 6, 2008 Creagerscored the game tying goal and was the only person to score in the3 person overtime shootout, thus earning the USNAST their first winin team history.
Creager has coached in various capacities around Pueblo sincegraduating. He has been a head coach for the Pueblo Rangers for 6seasons and was the assistant coach for Pueblo West High School forone season, along with conducting private training sessions on theside. He has coached at numerous collegiate camps including theUniversity of Tulsa, Air Force Academy, Regis University, ColoradoMesa University and University of New Mexico.
Creager has attained his USSF ‘C’ license and hisNSCAA Advanced National Diploma and is a member of bothorganizations. He will be pursuing his ‘B’ licenseduring the upcoming winter.
The Sandy, Utah native received his B.S. in Sociology with aminor in Psychology from CSU-Pueblo in 2006. He currently works asa para professional for District 70 teaching life skills tochildren with special needs ages 14-18.
