Rick Ewing enters his ninth season in 2016-17 as an assistant coach at CSU-Pueblo. Ewing works primarily with the ThunderWolves women’s program.

In the 2014-15 season, Ewing helped women's golfer Leina Kim earn WGCA First-Team All-America, All-West Region, RMAC Player of the Year and RMAC First-Team All-Conference accolades. Under Ewings's guidance, Kim won the RMAC Women's Golf Championship, placed third at the NCAA West Regional and 12th at the NCAA Women's Golf Championship.

In 2014, Ewing helped lead the Pack to their second RMAC title in three years. Leina Kim was named RMAC Women’s Golfer of the Year, advancing to the NCAA regional for the second consecutive season. With Ewing’s assistance, three players landed on the all-conference squad with Kim and Julie Sanchez earning first-team honors and Domi DiNallo landing on the second team.

As an assistant with the men’s golf team, Ewing has helped guide the ThunderWolves to five consecutive NCAA Division II Super Regional Tournaments.  In 2011, with Ewing’s assistance, CSU-Pueblo claimed the RMAC Men’s Golf Championship for the first time since 2004.

During the 2016-17 season, Ewing added to his list of champions coached when Jacquelyn Porman claimed the RMAC Championship. As a team, the Pack placed second.

Ewing’s daughter Courtney joined the women’s golf program as a freshman at CSU-Pueblo in the fall of 2015.
