Pete Brown begins his first season as the running backs coach at CSU-Pueblo in 2017.
Brown spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as the offensive quality control coach and offensive line assistant at University of Louisville. He was a member of an offensive staff that led Louisville to national top 15 rankings in yards per game (2nd), offensive efficiency (3rd), quarterback rating (3rd), total offense (4th), 1st down efficiency (9th), yards rushing (12th) and yards passing (14th). The group also mentored the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Cardinals went to the Music City Bowl in 2015 and the Citrus Bowl in 2016.
Prior to Louisville, Brown spent two seasons as an offensive graduate assistant at Iowa State University. He worked with the wide receivers for a spring and assisted the offensive line for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The Cyclones ranked in the top four in the Big 12 in ball security in back-to-back seasons.
Brown worked as an offensive graduate assistant (quality control) with the University of Nevada for the 2012 season where the Wolfpack finished in the top 10 in two offensive categories, total offense (4th) and rushing offense (6th).
He spent two seasons with the University of Lindenwood. As an undergrad student he served as director of football operations and running backs assistant coach for a year. He was a defensive graduate assistant where he coached linebackers and was the defensive video coordinator.
Brown received his bachelors degree from Lindenwood in 2011. His brother, Dave, is the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at CSU-Pueblo.
