Patrick Eberhart is entering his sixth season as head coachof the Colorado State University-Pueblo men's basketball program.In his first five seasons at the helm, the ThunderWolves havegone 65-74 overall, including back-to-back berths in theprevious two RMAC semifinals (2009 & 2010).

Eberhart's ThunderWolves squads have earned the moniker of"giant killers", having reached the RMAC semifinals over the pasttwo consecutive seasons, each time earning first-round wins on theroad at Mesa State. 

The first win, coming in 2009 at Mesa State, was the program'sfirst win at Mesa State since 1990.  In 2010, the Pack's MesaState win was even more impressive, as the Mavericks entered theplayoffs as the top seed after securing the RMAC Regular Seasonchampionship.

In fact, of active RMAC head men's basketball coaches,nobody has more road RMAC playoff wins than Eberhart, who boaststwo career road playoff wins.  When you add in the the roadRMAC playoff wins Eberhart claimed as a CSU-Pueblo assistant coachfrom 1997-2001, he has had a hand in four RMAC road playoff wins inhis career.

Eberhart has a great deal of experience with Rocky MountainAthletic Conference basketball, having served as an assistant coachfor the then-University of Southern Colorado from 1997-2001.Working under then-head coach Joe Folda, Eberhart saw his teams go60-25 from 1997-2001. He also was part of the 1998 team thatadvanced to the NCAA Division II Basketball North Central Regional,the most recent appearance in school history.

Following his first stint with the ThunderWolves, Eberhart hadserved as an assistant coach at Colorado State University from 2001to 2005. As the recruiting coordinator for the Rams, he was anintegral part of landing a 2004 recruiting class tabbed 26th in thenation by Hoop Scoop Magazine. One of his most noteworthy signees,the Rams' Jason Smith, was named the 2004 Mountain West ConferenceFreshman of the Year.

Prior to his first stint in Pueblo, Eberhart was an assistantcoach at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colo., from1995-97. In all, he has nearly 10 years of experience in the RockyMountain Athletic Conference.

Eberhart also brings coaching experience from stints at Denver'sMachebeuf Catholic High School, Denver East High School and AdamsState College.

Eberhart received his bachelor's degree in businessadministration and education from Adams State in 1991, where he wasa standout guard for the Grizzlies. A two-time All-RMAC honoree, hestill holds the Adams State record for three-pointers in a game (9)and led the team in scoring for two straight seasons. He also holdsa master's degree in education curriculum instruction and designfrom Colorado Christian University, obtained in 1997.

Eberhart and his wife, Teresa, have a daughter, Emma. The familyresides in Pueblo.
