Madison Smith

Madison Smith comes to Colorado State University Pueblo after serving as an Athletic Trainer Intern at Fresno State University for the past nine month. While at Fresno State, Smith worked with the equestrian, tennis and football teams. She provided care to Division I athletes, maintained injury reports for multiple teams, collaborated with the strength and conditioning coaches, provided first aid and preventative care and developed rehab plans for student-athlete on the respective teams. 

Prior to working at Fresno State, Smith spent the 2022-23 school year working with fall and spring baseball and football teams at the United States Air Force Academy. In her time at Air Force Academy, she provided care to Division I athletes with the sports medicine team, along with collaborated with strength and conditioning staff and coaches, assisted in maintaining injury reports and developed rehab programs for acute and chronic injuries, specifically multiple post surgical shoulders and knee rehabs. 

She began her collegiate athletic training career as a student athletic trainer at Colorado Mesa University. In her time with the Mavericks, she worked with the women's soccer, men's and women's wrestling, track and field programs and spring football. In addition, she spent the fall of 2021 working as an athletic trainer at Fruita Momument High School. 

Smith, who is certified in CPR, BOC and First Aid, earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2021 and earned her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2023.
