Maddie Beagley will make the transition from student-athlete to student assistant Coach in 2017-18. She joins Head Coach Curtis Loyd as part of his staff in her first year as a coach.

Beagley played two seasons at CSU-Pueblo where she competed for a Pack team that set a program wins record in each of two seasons, with 26 victories in 2015-16 and 28 wins in 2016-17.

She played in 64 consecutive games for the Pack, competing through a broken nose and other injuries. Coming off the bench, Beagley made 48.4 percent of her attempts from the field in her CSU-Pueblo career.

Beagley was a force on the offensive glass, averaging 1.2 offensive rebounds per game. She collected 3.1 rebounds per game in her time at CSU-Pueblo.

 

The 5-10 power forward came to the Pack from Iowa Western Community College where she was a two-year team captain. A standout in the classroom, Beagley was named an Academic All-American as a sophomore and was tabbed to the All-Region Academic First Team as both a freshman and a sophomore.

Before her time with the Rievers, Beagley starred at Russell High School where she averaged 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game during her career Beagley was selected to the Topeka Journal's First-Team All-State as a freshman, junior and senior … As a sophomore, she was tabbed First Team All-Kansas by the Wichita Eagle. Beagley's leadership skills shined in high school as she helped lead Russell to a fourth-place finish at the Class 3A state tournament as a senior.

 

Personal: Daughter of Natalie and David Beagley ... She has one sibling, Mason ... Intends to major in pre-optometry while at CSU-Pueblo.
