Jeff Hecklinski has been coaching at theNCAA Division I level since 2003 and owns more than 15 years ofexperience coaching football.

Most recently, Hecklinski served as assistant head coach atUniversity of Michigan, where he was also the recruitingcoordinator and wide receivers coach from 2011-2014. During histime at Michigan, the Wolverines played in three bowl games,including the Sugar Bowl, Outback Bowl and Buffalo Wild WingsBowl.

From 2009-10 he served as the assistant head coach at San DiegoState University, while also serving as recruiting coordinator andrunning backs coach. He helped guide the Aztecs to the PoinsettiaBowl.

Hecklinski was the recruiting coordinator/wide receivers coachat Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana from 2004-08. He helpedguide the Cardinals to two bowl game appearances (InternationalBowl and GMAC Bowl).

In 2003, Hecklinski began his Division I experience with theposition of pass game coordinator/quarterbacks at University ofArizona.

Hecklinski has NCAA Division II experience with a two-year stintat University of Central Missouri where he was the offensivecoordinator and quarterbacks coach. The Mules posted an appearancein the 2002 NCAA Division II Playoffs and also appeared in theMineral Water Bowl.

He also had a two-year stretch as the offensive coordinator andquarterbacks coach at Fort Scott Community College from 1999-2000and began his coaching career in 1998 serving as quarterback coachat Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.

He was a three-time all-conference quarterback at WesternIllinois University and helped guide the Fighting Leathernecks totwo appearances in the national tournament. Prior to playing atWIU, he played two seasons at University of Illinois.

Hecklinski earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in communicationstudies in 1997 from Western Illinois.
