Erik Andersen, who helped lead the Colorado StateUniversity-Pueblo men’s soccer team to top 25 rankings inboth 2008 and 2009, returns to CSU-Pueblo and will take on doubleduties as the assistant coach for both the men’s andwomen’s soccer programs in 2014.
Andersen, who graduated in 2010 and received his degree ineducation, led the Pack offensively with ten goals and two assistsduring his senior season in 2009. The offensive outburst earned himnumerous accolades, including first team Daktronics All-CentralRegion Team, second team All-RMAC, and second team NSCAAAll-Central Region selection.
He also broke a school record for scoring a goal in sixconsecutive games (9/10/09- 9/27/09).
A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Andersen graduated from Moon ValleyHigh School and stayed close to home, playing at Phoenix Collegewhere he was a team captain for two years before transferring toCSU-Pueblo.
Immediately after graduation, Andersen and his family leftPueblo and returned to the Phoenix area where he became anassistant coach for his alma mater, Phoenix College, while teachingphysical education at the high school level.
After a two-year stint with the Bears, Andersen was hired as theassistant coach of NAIA-Arizona Christian University in 2013.
Andersen was also heavily involved in the Arizona OlympicDevelopment Program.
With his return to Pueblo, Andersen will be working with bothhead coach Roy Stanley and the men’s team, while alsoassisting the women’s team and head coach Paul Regrutto.

Erik and his wife Valette, now have two boys, Riley six, andLandon, three.
