Colorado State University-Pueblo head women's soccer coach, DaveMorris, took over the head job in June 2007 from theprogram's architect, Roy Stanley, who had decided to give up thereins of the women's team and focus solely on the men's program.
Though Morris brought with him a reputation as a coach thatrarely experienced losing or mediocrity, having established himselfas the top coach in the history of the University ofWisconsin-Stout, nobody expected what happened in 2007.
Morris caught lightning in a bottle with the 2007 ThunderWolves, guiding the Pack to their best record in school history, 14-6-1,and a berth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championshipgame. Behind the program's first all-American in Robin Hayes, the 2007 team set standards in goals scored, assists andpoints.
Now comes the hard part - keeping it going. By relying onhis philosophy of focusing on team chemistry over all else, Morriswill seek to guide the ThunderWolves women's soccer program intothe upper stratosphere of the RMAC women's soccer world, as well asall of Division II.
