Dave Lange

Dave Lange enters his 16th season as assistant coach of theColorado State University-Pueblo program.

Lange has been with the CSU-Pueblo baseballprogram from the beginning, joining the coaching staff in1994.  Lange has been the ThunderWolves' key recruiter, and isone of the major reasons the ThunderWolves produced some of thefinest recruits in the RMAC year in and year out.

Lange, who has over 30 years of coaching experience, served as headcoach at Wyandotte Theodore Roosevelt High School prior to arrivingat CSU-Pueblo. He was named the league's coach of the year fivetimes and guided his teams to an overall 351-278 record, capturingone state championship and one state runner-up title.

Seven of Lange's former players were drafted by Major League teams,including Kevin Richardson, the fifth player taken in the 1977draft.

In 1991, Lange served as head coach during the Michigan High SchoolBaseball Coaches Association All-Star game played in TigerStadium.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in1967 and received his master's degree from Eastern MichiganUniversity in 1971.

Lange, from Edmore, Mich. and his wife, Carole, have one daughter:Nicole.
