Clint Whitaker enters his first season asassistant coach after accumulating more than 25 years of successfulcoaching experience at the high school, NCAA Division I, and NCAADivision II levels. He is proficient in all track and field events,but emphasizes on sprints, hurdles, jumps, and multi-events. Due tohis time as a recruiting coordinator, Whitaker has developed andsustained recruiting connections nationally and internationallythroughout the US, Europe, Africa, South America and theCaribbean.

Whitaker started his coaching career in 1984 at the Universityof Colorado-Boulder and has since worked in various institutionssuch as the University of Maryland, Colorado School of Mines,Boulder Valley School District, University of Maryland EasternShore and Academy School District #20.

During his career at the college level, Whitaker coached manyhighly competitive athletes. Among them, 35 All-Americans, fourOlympians and several conference champions. At the high schoollevel, Whitaker coached many student-athletes that went on toreceive college scholarships in track and field, as well as, fiveColorado State Champions. During his time coaching Air Academy HighSchool track and field, the Girl’s team finishedsixth out of 72 teams at the State Championship meet.

Whitaker graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia witha bachelors’ of educational studies K-12. In 1985, Whitakerwas awarded a Colorado Teaching License through the University ofColorado-Boulder and later renewed that license through GraduateSchool of Education at Oklahoma State University in 2002.
