Bob Haley has been a fixture in the Pueblo swimming scene for 50 years. He enters his second season assisting with Pack Swimming & Diving team in 2019-20.
Haley has been coaching for over 50 years. He coached age groups in Pueblo from 1964-1974.
After five years coaching age groups, JV, and varsity in Texas from 1974 to 1979, Haley returned to Pueblo. He coached at Centennial High School from 1979 to 2010. Haley coached the Bulldogs Boy's team for 30 years and the Girl's team for 18 years during that span. He was also a physical education teacher at Centennial.
Haley graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School in 1963. He graduated from Southern Colorado State College (Now CSU-Pueblo) in 1967 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Industrial Arts. He also obtained a Masters from Brigham Young University in 1973. Haley swam competitively from when he was nine to when he was 18.
Bob has been married since 1972. He has three children and five grandchildren. In his spare time, Bob likes to travel, do wood working, and auto restoration.
