Amanda Deml is entering her second season as an assistant coachfor the CSU-Pueblo women’s soccer team. Deml comes to theuniversity after having a very succesful career as a player atNorthwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri.
As a forward and midfielder for the Bearcats she played fouryears with the program, finishing her career as top ten in assistsand goals, and also top five in points and shots.
Deml was also named to numerous MIAA conference awards whichinclude, player of the week and all-MIAA honorable mention honors,She was also named the team captain for her team and won the teamleader award her senior year.
She has won numerous academic awards throughout her career,which include being named to the MIAA Commisioner’s honorroll for three years.
She was also the first Bearcat in program history to be named toESPN the Magazines All-Academic Women’s Soccer thirdteam.
Deml graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Parks and Recreationmanagement.In 2010, as an assistant with the Northwest Missouriwomen’s soccer team, she graduated with her Master’sdegree in Athletic Administration.
Deml relocated to CSU-Pueblo to accept a position as theAssistant Director of Student Recreation, where she has overseenthe intraumural sports program.
