Terra Moyers

Terra Moyers joined the CSU-Pueblo Women's Basketball coaching staff in July of 2015.

In her first season, Moyers assisted a coaching staff that led the Pack to a school record 26 wins. During Moyers’ first season the Pack won their conference record fifth RMAC Tournament Championship. CSU-Pueblo also earned its highest ever seed for the NCAA Tournament (No. 2 seed).

Three Pack players earned All-RMAC honors. Three more players earned RMAC Shootout All-Tournament team spots. In total, six Pack players earned RMAC Player of the Week awards.

With help from Moyers, Molly Rohrer earned RMAC Freshman of the Year honors. As a team the Pack owned the eighth-best field goal percentage defense in the nation, holding opponents to 34.4 percent from the field.

The Pack also ranked in the top 30 in  both rebounds per game (29th) and points per game allowed (22nd). CSU-Pueblo finished in the top half of the RMAC in all but two statistical categories.

Moyers joined the ThunderWolves after spending the last two seasons serving as Head Coach Jim Turgeon’s assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. At CSU-Pueblo, Moyers duties will include recruiting, on-court instruction and monitoring the academic success of the team.

During her two seasons with the Reivers, Moyers helped lead the team to a 56-11 overall mark, including a program-record 31 wins in the 2014-15 season. In addition to the record-setting 31 victories, Moyers assisted Iowa Western to Region VI and District K championships and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. During her first year at IWCC, she helped the Reivers to a 25-7 record with a Region XI Championship and runner-up finish in the District K Championship contest.

Prior to her two-year stint at Iowa Western, Moyers served as an assistant coach at College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Neb. At College of Saint Mary, Moyers helped rebuild the basketball program, helping the Flames to back-to-back NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2012 and 2013. In 2013, College of Saint Mary broke the school record for most wins in a season with 25.

As a student-athlete, Moyers started her career at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah, where she played basketball for two years. She then transferred to College of Saint Mary in 2007 where she was a member of the basketball and softball teams. As a senior in 2010, she was named athlete of the year for College of Saint Mary and was an honorable-mention all-conference selection for basketball and an all-conference selection for softball in 2009 and 2010.

Moyers earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from College of Saint Mary in 2010 and her master’s degree in organizational management with an emphasis in sports management from Wayne State College in May of 2012.
