2013-14 Outdoor (Redshirt Junior): Competed in seven meets, a season-highlighted by a fourth place finish in the triple jump at the RMAC Championships… Turned in a wind-aided career-best of 12.09 meters (39’8”) to earn Second Team All-RMAC honors and her fourth career All-RMAC certificate… That mark was the fifth best in the RMAC throughout the season… Was battling injuries and focused solely on that event at the championship meet… Had turned in an earlier and legal NCAA provisional qualifying jump of 11.92 meters (39’1 ¼”) at the West Texas A&M Open… Had clocked a wind-aided best of 12.35 at the same meet and a legal best of 12.61 in the 100 meters at the Colorado Front Range Open… Also had a season-best time of 25.95 in the 200 meters at the same meet… Turned in a season-best of 5.29 meters (17’4 ¼”) in the long jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational… Was also a regular member of the Pack’s relay teams… Helped the team set a school-record time of 3:53.97 in the 4X400-meter relay at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
2013-14 Indoor (Redshirt Junior): Helped lead the Pack, competing in all nine of the Pack’s meets throughout the season… Finished fourth in the triple jump at the RMAC Championships with a mark of 11.71 meters (38’5”), one of five NCAA provisional qualifying efforts that she had throughout the campaign… Earned her third All-RMAC certificate (Second Team) of her career with the effort… Had a season-best effort of 11.90 meters (39’0 ½”) a week earlier at the Joe Davies Open to rank fourth on the RMAC performance list… Was 20th on the national list, just missing out of a spot at the national championships… Was also ranked ninth on the RMAC performance list in the long jump and 10th in the 60 meters with efforts of 5.45 meters (17’ 10 ¾”) and 7.78 (7.82-altitude adjusted) at the RMAC Championships… Finished seventh in the long jump and ninth in the 60 meters… Also rank a leg on the Pack’s seventh-place 4X400-meter relay team… Had run a leg on the indoor school-record setting team that posted a time of 3:59.91 at the New Mexico Classic…. Was also a member of the mile relay school-record team that was clocked in 4:02.88 at the Air Force Holiday Open… Ran the 200 meters on three occasions, posting a career-best time of 25.78 at the New Mexico Classic.
2013 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Had a break-out season scoring a pair of All-RMAC honors in both the 100 meters and long jump while also helping the Pack score points in the 4X400-meter relay… Took fourth place and Second Team All-RMAC plaudits in the long jump at the RMAC Championships with a season-best leap of 5.45 meters (17’10 ¾”), the fifth best mark in the RMAC throughout the season… Also finished fifth in the 100 meters to earn Third Team All-RMAC honors… Had posted a season-best time of 12.37 (12.40-altitude adjusted) seconds in the preliminaries to rank sixth on the season-long RMAC performance list… Helped the Pack finish fifth in the 4X400-meter relay with a sub 4-minute mark of 3:59.91…. Went on to set an improved NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 11.97 meters (39’3 ¼”) in the triple jump at the Colorado Mines Mother’s Day Last Chance Meet, the best mark in the RMAC… That mark ranked her 29th on the national performance list… Had also set an earlier and winning provisional qualifying mark of 11.91 meters at the Colorado Mines Pre-Conference Open.
2012-13 Indoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Had a strong first full season with the Pack, competing in seven meets, including the RMAC Championships… Contested five different events at that meet finishing eighth in the 60 meters to score her first RMAC team point… Had clocked a season-best time of 7.88 seconds (7.90-altitude adjusted) in the preliminaries to rank eighth on the RMAC’s season-long performance list… Finished 19th in the long jump and 21st in the 400 meters, posting a time of 1:02.65 in her only career attempt at the distance… Also contested the triple jump and the 4X400-meter relay… Was ranked second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump on the RMAC performance lists with season-best marks of 11.43 meters (37’6”) and 5.33 meters (17’6”), both of which were set at the Air Force Invitational… The triple jump mark was just two centimeters off the NCAA provisional qualifying standard… Also posted a time of 26.98 in the 200 meters at that meet, her only such effort of the campaign.
2011-12 (Sophomore): Transferred to CSU-Pueblo and redshirted during both seasons… Did compete unattached in a pair of outdoor meets posting an effort of 12.88 seconds in the 100 meters to finish third at the Western State Invitational.
2010-11 Outdoor (Freshman – at Highland CC): Placed fourth in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump at the Region VI Championships… Earned Second Team All-Jayhawk Conference East Division honors thanks to both efforts… Also helped the Scotties earn first team honors in the 4X100-meter relay thanks to their third place effort at the regional championships… The team went on to finish ninth at the NCJAA National Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas with a time of 47.93 seconds.
2010-11 Indoor (Freshman – at Highland CC): Began her collegiate career at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas… Won the long jump while taking third in the triple jump at the Jayhawk East Conference Championships… Earned First Team All-Jayhawk East honors in the long jump thanks to her effort of 5.35 meters (17’6 ¾”)… Went on to take fourth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump at the Region VI Championships… Was also 14th in the 60 meters at that meet… Took 11th in the long jump and 19th in the NJCAA National Championships in Lubbock, Texas.
Prep: Finished fourth in the 5A State Championships in the long jump during her senior season (2010) at Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo.... Helped the Spartans finish fifth as a team... Part of a 4x100-meter relay team that owns the DHS school record .. Part of Doherty track squads that won four conference titles during her time on the team... Coached by Bill McCormick... Also participated in basketball.
Personal: Born 7/16/92... Daughter of Richard Wendt and Launi Shapiro... Has one younger brother, Scott... Is majoring in health promotion wellness.
