Cheyenne Verna

Cheyenne Verna joined the ThunderWolves in July 2021 as the Assistant Sport Performance Coach.

Before joining the Pack, Verna worked as a Graduate Assistant at Northern Colorado starting in August of 2019. While Graduate Assistant, Verna worked with all facets of the Women’s Tennis and Women’s Swim and Dive training programs. She also trained and worked with the WAC Swimmer of the Year along with multiple WAC champions.

Before being the Graduate Assistant, Verna worked as a student intern for Northern Colorado in the summer of 2018. Verna assisted with monitoring strength and conditioning sessions for various teams including football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball during her three months as an intern.

Verna was a Division I softball player at Northern Colorado for four seasons. She was named team co-captain and earned Big Sky All-Academic honors as senior in 2019.

“I am excited to welcome Cheyenne to the Pack family." Director of Sport Performance Tyson Gale said. "Her experiences as a Division I college athlete as well as working in the collegiate strength and conditioning field make her a valuable asset to our department and student-athletes.”

Verna earned two undergraduate degrees and a Master's from Northern Colorado. In August of 2018, she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Sport and Exercise Science. In August of 2019, she graduated with a second Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition. Verna graduated with a Master's of Science in May 2021 in Sport and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics.
