Angelique Urenda is in her first season as an assistant coach following a successful collegiate career.
Urenda came to CSU Pueblo for her senior year where she earned NCAA Outdoor All-American honors and was crowned the RMAC Indoor Champion in the pole vault.
Urenda was an NCAA Division II Indoor Championships national qualifier in the pole vault. She was named USTFCCCA All-Region in the pole vault, honored as RMAC Field Athlete of the Year and gathered All-RMAC First Team recognition in the pole vault and high jump. Urenda became the RMAC Champion in the pole vault after setting a new conference and school record with a vault of 3.89m. She was second in the high jump at the RMAC Championships.
For the outdoor season, she was an All-American in the pole vault when she finished tied for eighth with a top vault of 3.75m. Urenda was named USTFCCCA All-Region in the pole vault, All-RMAC First Team in the high jump and All-RMAC Second Team in the pole vault. To earn her first appearance at the outdoor nationals she vaulted the best mark in the region for 2018 and established a new school record May 13, as she cleared 3.88m.
Prior to CSU Pueblo, Urenda competed at Chadron State College.
