Tate Hilgenkamp

Tate Hilgenkamp enters his third season as an assistant coach for the ThunderWolves. 

Las season, the ThunderWolves went 3-15 overall and in league play. 

During the 2019-2020 season, the Pack went 11-17 overall and 9-13 in RMAC play. He worked with the guards, which included David Simental, who earned All-RMAC Second Team after he led the team in scoring.

Hilgenkamp came to CSU Pueblo after coaching experience at Concordia University (Nebraska) where he spent two years as a graduate assistant for men's basketball. The team went 38-25 during those two seasons. He also served as the head coach of the junior varsity program. In 2018-19, Hilgenkamp served as the Director of Basketball Operations for Men’s and Women’s Basketball at Minot State University. 

Hilgenkamp finished his playing career at Black Hills State University, where he played two seasons and served as a co-captain as a senior. He started his collegiate career at Sheridan College where the team posted a record of 51-13 during his two seasons. 

Hilgenkamp earned his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Black Hills State and a Master's Degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia.

He is originally from Laramie, Wyoming, where he was a two-time all-state performer on the hardwood for Laramie High School.
