PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 16, 2026) – After navigating its nonconference schedule unbeaten, the No. 13 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team turns its attention to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this week as the ThunderWolves hit the road for a pair of matches against Westminster and Colorado Mesa.
The Pack open its RMAC slate Thursday against Westminster in Salt Lake City before traveling to Grand Junction for a Sunday matchup against Colorado Mesa. CSU Pueblo enters conference play carrying plenty of momentum following a strong start to the season and will look to continue that form as the race through the RMAC begins.
CSU Pueblo is coming off a solid week to wrap up nonconference play with a home win against Colorado Christian and a dominant 3-1 win on the road Sunday at Fort Lewis.
For their efforts, Nick Cenek and Esteban Gonzalez were named RMAC Offensive and RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively. Cenek totaled three goals, six points and two-game-winning goals as the Pack improved to 6-0 on the season. He enters RMAC play tied for the conference lead with five goals and 11 points.
Gonzalez was equally impressive at the other end of the pitch, allowing just one goal over 180 minutes while recording nine saves, a shutout and two assists during the ThunderWolves' 2-0 week. Through six matches this season, Gonzalez leads the RMAC with a 0.33 goals-against average, .875 save percentage and four shutouts.
