COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 7, 2026) - Following one of its strongest regular seasons in program history, the Colorado State University Pueblo softball team was rewarded Thursday with six selections to the 2026 All-RMAC teams, headlined by senior pitcher
McKenna James (Windsor, Colo.) being named RMAC Pitcher of the Year.
James also earned First Team All-RMAC honors after a dominant season in the circle and at the plate for the ThunderWolves. During RMAC play, James posted a 17-6 record with a 1.43 earned run average, tossing 18 complete games and five shutouts while helping lead CSU Pueblo to a 34-10 conference mark. The honor makes the latest accolade in a standout campaign for the senior hurler, who has been one of the top pitchers in the South Central Region throughout the season.
Joining James on the All-RMAC First Team was outfielder
Caitlyn Cole (Sr., Merced, Calif.), who also collected her first career RMAC Gold Glove award for her defensive efforts in centerfield. Cole anchored the ThunderWolves defense and finished the regular season with no errors committed and she recorded two assists.
Infielder
Madelyn Huerta (Sr., Azusa, Calif.) earned Second Team All-RMAC recognition while securing her third consecutive RMAC Gold Glove award at shortstop. Huerta continued to establish herself as one of the conference's premier defensive players, providing steady leadership in the infield while contributing offensively throughout the year.
Three additional ThunderWolves were recognized with Honorable Mention All-RMAC accolades, including
Emma Case (Jr., Loveland, Colo.),
Darleen Falcon (Sr., Moreno Valley, Calif.) and
Reese Reimler (Fr., Champlin, Minn.). The trio played key roles in CSU Pueblo's success during the 2026 campaign and helped the ThunderWolves secure their second-place finish in the RMAC standings.
CSU Pueblo's postseason run continues Friday afternoon as the Pack enters the RMAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. CSU Pueblo will face No. 3 seed MSU Denver in the semifinal round after MSU Denver defeated No. 6 seed Colorado School of Mines, 9-1 in six innings, during Thursday's quarterfinal matchup.
On the opposite side of the bracket, tournament host and No. 1 seed Colorado Christian will square off against No. 5 seed UCCS, which advanced after defeating No. 4 Colorado Mesa in Thursday's opening round.
