PUEBLO, Colo. (May 11, 2026) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament as the ThunderWolves earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional and will face No. 2 seed West Texas A&M on Thursday at 4 p.m. (MT) in Canyon, Texas.
The regional appearance marks the third NCAA Tournament berth in program history for the ThunderWolves and the first since 2009. CSU Pueblo enters postseason play with a 2-4 all-time record in NCAA Tournament games.
Hosted by West Texas A&M, the South Central Regional bracket 2 in Canyon will also feature No. 3 seed Angelo State taking on No. 6 seed Texas A&M-Kingsville in the opening round Thursday.
In South Central Regional Bracket 1, top-seeded Colorado Christian will square off against No. 8 St. Mary's, while No. 4 seed UT-Tyler will face No. 5 seed Oklahoma Christian.
The winners of each regional bracket will advance to next week's NCAA Super Regional round.
CSU Pueblo's last NCAA Tournament appearance came during the 2009 season when the Pack posted a 2-2 mark in regional play, including two victories over Mines.
The ThunderWolves punched their ticket to the big dance after capturing the program's second RMAC Championship since 2001 this past weekend in Lakewood, Colo. CSU Pueblo enters regional play with momentum after recording its first 40-win season since 2001.
