PUEBLO, Colo. (April 29, 2026) - The NCAA Division II Softball Committee released its second South Central Regional rankings of the 2026 season Wednesday, slotting Colorado State University Pueblo softball at No. 7 heading into the final week of the regular season.

The ThunderWolves (36-14 overall, 35-14 in-region) remain firmly in the postseason conversation following a historic season thus far that saw the program reach new heights, including a record-setting 19-game winning streak and a second-place finish in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

Topping the poll is Colorado Christian at 50-2, followed by West Texas A&M, Angelo State and Oklahoma Christian rounding out the top four. Texas-Tyler and Texas A&M Kingsville claimed the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, respectively, just ahead of CSU Pueblo.

The ThunderWolves are followed in the rankings by St. Mary's, Lubbock Christian and Texas Woman's to complete the Top 10.

CSU Pueblo will look to solidify its position with a strong finish this week against No. 3 Colorado Christian.

The RMAC Tournament will take place May 7-9 at All Star Park in Lakewood, Colo., at the site of regular season champion Colorado Christian.

The NCAA Selection Show is set for Monday, May 11.
