COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 14, 2026) - Continuing a historic season in the circle, Colorado State University Pueblo senior
McKenna James (Windsor, Colo.) has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time in 2026, setting a new program record for weekly honors in a single season.
James' dominant performances helped power the ThunderWolves to another unbeaten weekend, leading the Pack to a four-game series sweep at UCCS.
James finished the series with a 2-0 record and a clinical 1.91 ERA. Across 14.2 innings of work, she allowed just four earned runs while striking out seven batters. She proved to be the staff workhorse, throwing two complete games and maintaining a 1.23 WHIP.
James was particularly effective at limiting extra-base damage, issuing only two walks throughout the entire series. Her dominance in the circle was the backbone of a defensive effort that held the Mountain Lions to a .288 batting average.
This season, James remains top in the league in several categories including ERA (1.73), BA (.229), strikouts (100), IP (137.1) and she is second in wins with 15.
Up next, CSU Pueblo hosts MSU Denver in a four-game RMAC series at home starting Friday at Noon.
