Cole and Latino Named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 1, 2026) - Colorado State University Pueblo's Caitlyn Cole (Sr., Merced, Calif.) and Cooper Latino (Sr., Parker, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A.

Cole was the offensive catalyst for the ThunderWolves during their four-game sweep of New Mexico Highlands. Cole posted a staggering .700 average, collecting 7 hits in 10 at-bats while slugging 1.500.

She recorded four extra-base hits, including two home runs and two doubles, while driving in eight and scoring 7 herself and walked four times.

She was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts and defensively, she was flawless in the outfield, recording 10 putouts with a 1.000 fielding percentage to help the ThunderWolves extend their winning streak to 10 games.

CSU Pueblo enters April in sole possession of second place in the RMAC. This week, the Pack hosts Colorado Mesa in a pivotal matchup starting Thursday at Noon at Rawlings Softball Complex.

On the men's side, Latino headlined the week for Pack baseball as he hit .714, slugged 1.429 and had a 2.179 OPS in helping the Pack take three of four games against Colorado Christian to earn its first RMAC series win of the season.

In three games played, Latino recorded five hits in seven at-bats and scored two runs, hit two doubles, one home run and had 6 RBI. In addition, he drew one walk and did not strikeout in his seven at-bats.

Latino and the Pack will return to action this week with a four-game series, April 2-4 in Golden, Colo., against Colorado School of Mines. The series will begin with a single nine-inning contest on Thursday at 6 p.m., before playing a doubleheader on Friday beginning at Noon and then concluding the series with a single nine-inning game on Saturday at Noon.
