COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 31, 2026) - Following a weekend where she anchored a pitching staff that secured a four-game series sweep of New Mexico Highlands, Colorado State University Pueblo freshman
Eva Miller-Sanchez (Denver, Colo.) has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Pitcher of the Week.
Miller-Sanchez was nearly untouchable across two appearances, posting a 0.62 ERA over 11.1 innings of work. Her performance was highlighted by a shutdown effort in the series finale, where she was called on in relief and provided four scoreless innings while striking out five batters to shut the door on a Highlands comeback attempt.
Throughout the weekend, she held the Cowgirls to a meager .162 batting average, and finishing with a total of 11 strikeouts.
For the season, Miller-Sanchez holds a 5-2 record with a 2.92 ERA in her freshman campaign. She has totaled 31 strikeouts this season and has held opponents to a .246 average through 50.1 innings thrown.Â
It marks the second consecutive sweep for the ThunderWolves, who are riding a 10-game win streak entering a pivotal matchup this week at home against Colorado Mesa.
The four-game series is set to begin Thursday at 12 p.m. at Rawlings Softball Complex.
