ThunderWolves Head to Land of Enchantment for Battle at Highlands

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (March 27, 2026) – The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team will end the month of March in the Land of Enchantment and take on New Mexico Highlands on the road at NMHU Softball Field and begin a four-game set Saturday at Noon.

SETTING THE STAGE
The Pack (19-11, 15-5 RMAC) are back in action after they dominated in a four-game sweep over Fort Lewis.

In the series, Caitlyn Cole (Sr., Merced, Calif.) collected eight hits over the four games and scored a team-high six runs.

McKenna James (Sr., Windsor, Colo.) went 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA, and finished with an outstanding 13 strikeouts, moving into the lead in the RMAC for most strikeouts.

The rest of the staff of Eva Miller-Sanchez (Fr., Denver, Colo.) and Kayli Cooper (Jr., North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada) each picked up complete-game wins. Miller-Sanchez ended with three runs allowed and two strikeouts, while Cooper had five strikeouts and one run given up.

LAST TIME AGAINST THEM

Last season, CSU Pueblo swept New Mexico Highlands in a four-game set at Rawlings Softball Complex. The ThunderWolves ride a 7-game win streak over the Cowgirls.

OPPONENT CAPSULES

New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls (8-24, 6-14 RMAC)

            Last time on the field: NMHU lost four games at UCCS. The Cowgirls are led offensively by Hallie Watkins with a .385 average. In the circle the Cowgirls are guided by Jolissa Valdez (3-8, 5.60 ERA).
