PUEBLO, Colo. (March 10, 2026) – For a second time this season and after helping lead the CSU Pueblo softball team to a weekend sweep of Regis on the road, senior McKenna James (Windsor, Colo.) has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
James anchored the ThunderWolves pitching staff during a four-game conference sweep, posting a 2-0 record with a stellar 0.54 ERA across 13.0 innings in two appearances. She allowed just one earned run on 11 hits while striking out 10 and limiting opponents to a .220 batting average during the week.
Her performances in the circle were key in CSU Pueblo's 4-0 start to conference play, as the Pack held opponents to just six total runs across the series.
James also contributed offensively, batting .400 (4-for-10) at the plate with three doubles and three RBI to help spark the ThunderWolves lineup.
With the strong weekend, CSU Pueblo improved to 9-3 in RMAC play and 13-9 overall. The Pack will next head to Alamosa and take on Adams State in a four game series starting Friday.
