Myers Punches Ticket to Nationals; Pack Earns Four Place-Winners at NCAA Super Regional VI Championships

GOLDEN, Colo. (February 28, 2026) - The Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling team wrapped up competition Saturday at the NCAA Super Regional VI Championships, finishing the weekend with four place-winners, including one national qualifier.

Redshirt-freshman Jacob Myers (Castle Rock, Colo.) delivered the top performance for the Pack, earning a third-place finish at 133 pounds to punch his ticket to national stage. Myers battled through a competitive bracket and secured his spot at the NCAA Championships with a strong showing in the consolation rounds, continuing an impressive season.

At 184 pounds, Donn Greer (Sr., Soledad, Calif.) battled back to claim a fifth-place finish, showing resilience throughout the tournament. Heavyweight Henry Sturn (Jr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) also secured fifth place at 285 pounds, adding valuable team points with his performance.

Solomon Arnds-Volcin (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) rounded out the Pack placers with a sixth-place finish at 174 pounds, capping off a hard-fought day for CSU Pueblo.

Other Pack results: Josh Jaramillo (Fr., Los Lunas, NM) went 1-2 on the day at 125 pounds. At 141, Eddie Bowman (So., Trinidad, Colo.) finished 1-2 and at 149, Kevin Boston (So., Omaha, Neb.) went 1-2, while Hunter Richardson (Sr., Page, Ariz.) registered 0-2 at 157 pounds.

Deacon Pickett (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) won his first match at 165 by major decision before dropping his next two matches and Mario Tafoya (Jr., Albuquerque, NM) wrestled at 197 and went 1-2 on the day.

With the regional tournament complete, Myers will now turn his focus to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, set for March 13-14 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

For the rest of the Pack, the regional championships marked the conclusion of a competitive 2025-26 campaign highlighted by four individual place-winners and a national qualifier.
