James Earns RMAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 24, 2026) - Colorado State University Pueblo softball senior McKenna James (Windsor, Colo.) has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Pitcher of the Week, announced Tuesday by league officials.

James delivered an outstanding two-way performance for CSU Pueblo during the ThunderWolves' conference opener against Chadron State.

In the circle, James was dominant across four appearances, finishing the week with a 0.00 ERA over 10.1 IP. She allowed just three hits and no earned runs, holding opposing hitters to a .079 batting average. James struck out 15 batters while issuing only three walks, posting an exceptional 0.58 WHIP. She recorded one complete game shutout.

At the plate, James hit .438 for the series. She went 7-for-16 with four runs scored, a double and a home run, and four RBI, finishing with a .688 slugging percentage.

Black Hills State's Sammie Kaufman-Warner was named RMAC Player of the Week.

Up next, CSU Pueblo stays home this week and welcomes Black Hills State for a four-game RMAC series starting Saturday at noon at Rawlings Softball Complex.
