After opening the tournament with a 6-over 77, Ekberg responded in impressive fashion, firing back-to-back rounds in the 60s with a 4-under 67 in the second round and a tournament-closing 5-under 66. She played her final 36 holes at an incredible 9-under par and closed the tournament with a 32 on the back nine during her final round.

Ekberg's ability to finish fourth individually and play her final 36 holes at 9-under par against a deep South Central Regional field highlighted one of the strongest performances of the tournament.
Up next, the women's golf team will be back in action Oct. 26-27 and will compete at the East Bay Fall Invite in Hayward, Calif. to wrap up the fall season.
On the men's side, Orozco Soto made an impact on both ends of the pitch for No. 8 CSU Pueblo during its 1-0-1 week, highlighted by a bicycle-kick goal in Sunday's 4-2 RMAC victory over South Dakota Mines
.
Orozco Soto appeared in both matches and earned a start, logging 57 minutes while helping the ThunderWolves earn four points in conference play.
