COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a two-goal performance that helped lead the No. 8 Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team to an unbeaten weekend, Brandon Sanchez has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday.

Sanchez earns the weekly honor after totaling four points on two goals across the ThunderWolves' two home matches against No. 24 Regis and South Dakota Mines.

The CSU Pueblo midfielder did all of his scoring in Sunday's 4-2 victory over South Dakota Mines at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium, finding the back of the net twice during the opening 45 minutes to help the Pack build a commanding halftime advantage.

Sanchez opened his account in the 24th minute off an assist from Nick Cenek before striking again in the 44th minute following a feed from Modicai Jones.

For the week, Sanchez played 135 minutes and finished with two goals, four points and three shots, placing all three attempts on goal. He posted a .667 shooting percentage and a perfect 1.000 shots-on-goal percentage as CSU Pueblo went 1-0-1 over the two-match homestand.

The ThunderWolves opened the weekend with a 1-1 draw against nationally ranked Regis on Friday before responding with four goals in Sunday's victory over the Hardrockers.

CSU Pueblo remains at home this week for two more RMAC contests at Gonzales Stadium. The ThunderWolves host Adams State on Thursday before welcoming Fort Lewis to Pueblo on Sunday.
