ThunderWolves Move Up One Spot Following Pair of Shutout Victories, Remain Unbeaten Heading Into Denver Road Trip

PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 13, 2026) – Following a pair of impressive shutout victories in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play last week, the Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team continued its climb in the national rankings, moving up one spot to No. 6 in the nation in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

The ThunderWolves, who were ranked seventh in last week's poll, improved to 10-0-2 on the season following a dominant 8-0 victory over Adams State on Thursday and a 2-0 shutout of then-No. 14 Fort Lewis on Sunday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

With the two victories, CSU Pueblo remained unbeaten through its first 12 matches of the season and moved into sole possession of first place in the RMAC standings.

The Pack's offense was firing on all cylinders during the homestand, combining for 10 goals across the two contests, while the defensive unit was equally impressive, holding both opponents scoreless.

In Thursday's victory over Adams State, the ThunderWolves recorded their highest single-game goal total in recent program history, with Nick Cenek and Matty Parkes each contributing two goals.

CSU Pueblo followed that performance with a statement victory against nationally ranked Fort Lewis on Sunday. Juan Pablo Orozco Soto and Don Carlo Rank each found the back of the net as the ThunderWolves secured a crucial conference victory and strengthened their position among the nation's top programs.

At the top of this week's national poll, Cal State LA (12-0-1) retained the No. 1 ranking, followed by Midwestern State (11-0-3) at No. 2 and Charleston (10-2-0) at No. 3. Southern New Hampshire (10-0-3) moved up to fourth, while Florida Southern (10-1-1) rounded out the top five.

CSU Pueblo checked in at No. 6, followed by Francis Marion, Drury, Cal State San Bernardino and Auburn Montgomery to complete the national Top 10.

The ThunderWolves were one of two RMAC programs represented in this week's Top 25, joining No. 16 UCCS, which climbed seven spots from No. 23. Fellow conference members Regis and Fort Lewis were among the programs receiving votes.
