PUEBLO, Colo. (January 28, 2026) - Colorado State University Pueblo's Febe Wessels (Sr., Pretoria, South Africa) and Jacob Myers (Fr., Castle Rock, Colo.), both named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Athletes of the Week, have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A.

Wessels delivered a breakthrough showing in the shot put, placing fifth overall with a mark of 14.42 meters in a field that featured numerous Division I competitors. Her throw stood as the top mark among all Division II athletes in the event and also met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard, marking a significant milestone early in the indoor season.

The weekly honor is the first RMAC Field Athlete of the Week award of the season for Wessels and continues a strong start to the indoor campaign for the ThunderWolves. Her performance at the MLK Invitational provides momentum as the Pack prepare for the upcoming stretch of the indoor schedule.

The ThunderWolves will be back in action once again this weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as CSU Pueblo continues its indoor season against strong regional and national competition.

On the men's side, Myers earned his first RMAC Wrestler of the Week accolade after scoring the biggest victory of his young career, defeating No. 1-ranked Jason Henschel of No. 1 Central Oklahoma in dramatic fashion.

Myers earned the honor after posting a 7-4 sudden-victory win over Henschel, handing the nation's top-ranked wrestler his first loss of the season. The win came in a pivotal matchup against the top-ranked team in Division II and served as one of the most impressive individual performances of teh year for the ThunderWolves.

In the match, Myers showed resilience after surrendering an early take down. He answered with an escape and then secured a take down of his own to take a 4-3 lead after the first period. Henschel recorded the only point of the second period with an escape, and the third period went scoreless as both wrestlers battled through regulation tied 4-4.

Needing overtime to decide the bout, Myers wasted little time, scoring the match-ending take down in less than thirty seconds of sudden victory to seal the upset.

Up next, Pack wrestling remain at home and host Western Colorado on Thursday at 6 p.m. in a RMAC dual at Massari Arena.
