Women's soccer tabbed ninth in RMAC Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 18, 2025) - The 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll has been released and Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer has been tabbed ninth in the poll, released Thursday by league officials.

The ThunderWolves return seven starters from last season including Caytlynn Garland (Jr., Gillette, Wyo.) who finished second on the team with five points including two goals and one assist.

Defensively, Mara Ganje (Sr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) returns to the pitch and will anchor the defensive unit. 

In the polls, Colorado School of Mines was picked to win the league and totaled 140 points, including 9 first-place votes.

UCCS enters second and garnered 130 points along with three first-place votes. Colorado Mesa comes in at number three and earned 117 points and one first-place vote.

MSU Denver is fourth with 109 points, followed by Fort Lewis (95 points), Westminster (90 points), Regis (76 points) and Colorado Christian sits eighth with 71 points.

Rounding out the field, Western Colorado comes in tenth with 50 points, and Black Hills State registered 34 points, followed by Adams State (31 points) and New Mexico Highlands (19 points).

The ThunderWolves start the season with a three-game road trip in Texas starting Sep. 4 at Texas Permian Basin.

The home opener is set for Thursday, Sep. 11 against Angelo State starting at 6 p.m. at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
