COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 12, 2025) - The 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday and Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer was picked to finish third in the league according to the poll.
The ThunderWolves, led by first-year Head Coach
Nick Blackwell, earned 80 points along with two first-place votes.
University of Colorado Colorado Springs was picked to win the league and garnered 93 total points and 5 first-place votes. Fort Lewis was picked second with 91 points and three first-place votes.
Regis sits behind the Pack in fourth place in the poll with 79 points.
Landing at fifth in the poll is Colorado School of Mines (56 points), followed by MSU Denver (54 pts), Colorado Mesa (46 pts) and Westminster with 41 points.
Colorado Christian sits 9th with 26 points and rounding out the field is South Dakota Mines (21 pts) and Adams State with 9 points.
The 2025 Pack squad features eight returners from a season ago including
Aran Garza (R-So., Tempe, Ariz.) and
Ruben Marquez (Sr., Kissimmee, Fla.) who will help control the midfield.
The ThunderWolves bolstered their lineup both defensively and at the net with the additions of several players with key experience on the pitch.
CSU Pueblo begins the year at home Sep. 4 versus St. Mary's and will battle Sul Ross State on Sep. 6 and close out Opening Weekend at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The Pack will start RMAC play on Oct. 2 at home against Westminster.
